Responsibilities: As the service division manager, Chip oversees and coordinates a staff of electrical professionals who serve a wide range of customers and provide diverse service, including: low and medium voltage electrical, tel-com, fire alarm, security, electrical testing and preventive maintenance, and all warranty on completed projects. Chip also works closely with PowerHawke, Inc., Phalcon’s electrical engineering, assessment, and testing company, and helps coordinate their testing and assessment projects.

Experience: Chip joined McPhee Electric as a journeyman electrician in 1988. He moved up through the ranks as a foreman, thermographer, preventive maintenance technician and ultimately to his current role. With over 40 years of experience in the electrical industry Chip holds an E-1 contractor’s license from the state of Connecticut and is certified as a Level 1 Thermographer. Chip graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting.

Pride: Chip says that he is “very proud of the relationship McPhee has built with our long-term customers and McPhee’s reputation as the contractor to go to with tough, complex projects or in emergency situations.”  Some of McPhee’s long-term customers include: Central Connecticut State University, Mohegan Sun Casino, The Hartford, Cigna, Westfarms Mall, and top-tier property managers like CB Richard Ellis, Jones Lang LaSalle, and Cushman & Wakefield.

Free time: Chip’s been married to his wife Betsy for 32 years. They have three boys, Tyler, Cam,  and Jon. They all really enjoy the outdoors and on the weekends like to run, bike, hike, kayak, camp, and fish. Chip’s an Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 124 in Andover, CT, and a board member of the Kenneth Joyce Foundation. He’s also been an organizer and director of referees for the Kjlife flag football tournament every year since its inception in 2009; each year hundreds of kids participate.
