Experience: Peter joined McPhee in 1993 shortly after earning his BSE as an Electrical Engineer from the University of Connecticut Engineering School. For over twenty years he has successfully completed dozens of major construction projects throughout the Northeast. Peter is also a proud veteran, serving with the United States Marine Corps from 1980 - 1983.
Satisfaction: When asked about job satisfaction, Peter said, “I lead a dedicated group of highly-skilled professionals that comprise McPhee’s engineering department. Each team member brings a unique talent to the table and together we can take on any project regardless of the complexity involved.” In 2013 McPhee completed the power, lighting and system cabling / raceway design for the Plainfield Bio-fuel Power plant. The challenge was to complete the design work while the project was already underway. This was not an easy assignment, but McPhee had the right tools and knowledge and made it happen. This project was a joint engineering effort with Leidos, a nationwide engineering company
Free time: Peter enjoys golfing, downhill skiing, hiking, DIY home renovations. He’s also an avid sports fan rooting for the Red Sox, UCONN Huskies, and Miami Dolphins. Peter is happily married to his wife Mary, and has two children, Kevin and Lauren.
