Responsibilities: Oversees McPhee’s Boston and greater Massachusetts electrical construction operation by day-to-day implementation and supervision of marketing, estimating, purchasing, designing, and management of projects servicing the commercial, industrial, residential & institutional markets.
Experience: Tom joined McPhee Electric in 2003 to develop McPhee’s Massachusetts electrical construction operation.
Prior to joining McPhee, Tom was an owner and acting principal/vice president of Com-Tech Electric and Communication Company, a mid-size 20-year established electrical and telecommunication construction company in Boston. Tom also served in various roles such as electrical engineer and project manager. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and a Juris Doctor Degree from The Massachusetts School of Law.
Affiliations: Tom is a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association of Boston and is affiliated with the I.B.E.W. Local 103 Branch. Tom is a licensed Attorney at Law in both State and Federal Courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and a Registered Engineer E.I.T with the Professional Board of Engineers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Pride: Tom is most proud of his collaborative efforts with others in producing superior electrical construction on such notable Massachusetts landmark projects such as: The TD Boston Garden, Esplanade on The Charles, The Boston Harbor Project’s Hydro Electric Plant, The Watermark Building Cambridge, Biogen’s 225 Binney Street Headquarters, and currently the Residence at 22 Water Street. Tom remarked, “A true accomplishment to me is seeing the construction product from start to finish; the collaboration team effort, along with the professional friendships made during the construction process.”
Free time: When Tom’s out of the office he likes to be with family and friends. He’s a true Boston sports fan, and loves being outdoors enjoying the New England seasons. Occasionally you can find him lounging by the pool or fishing in the Atlantic.
