UConn Arjona Building Renovation

Institutional > Education

When the University of Connecticut decided to renovate the Arjona Building to accommodate its growing faculty, McPhee Electric was selected as the preferred electrical contractor to complete this fast-track renovation project.

The Arjona Building was constructed in 1959 as part of UConn’s response to an enrollment influx due to the GI bill after World War II and the Korean Conflict.

The 68,000 square foot four story building renovations included new medium voltage and low voltage distribution system as well as new lighting, branch power, teledata, audio/visual, security and life safety systems to include a new fire alarm system to ADA standards.
