The Beinecke Rare Book Library is one of the world’s largest libraries devoted entirely to rare books, showcasing Yale’s rich collections. The building is clad in gray-veined marble panes that filter light so that rare materials can be displayed without damage.
McPhee has performed the electrical and low voltage systems projects in this highly sensitive environment for the past 20 years. From design services through testing and maintenance operations, we have earned the respect and trust of this specialized facility. Recently, McPhee performed the electrical and fire alarm system upgrade as part of a major renovation of the heating, air conditioning, and humidity systems of the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Additionally, McPhee has performed lighting upgrades to include ceiling hoists for lowering, security systems update, power systems replacement and data hardening as well as engineering work.
McPhee continues to work at the facility and maintain its relationship with Yale University.
