The UConn Ambulatory Care Center consolidated all of the outpatient practices previously located in the Dowling North and South buildings into one convenient location UCONN’s lower campus in Farmington. The ACC is also the new home for the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center.
McPhee Electric completed this Design Assist project including all site development and completion of a 6 story, 1,400 Car Parking Garage which includes a state-of-the-art video surveillance System, emergency blue phones, complete fire alarm system, and LED lighting. The garage erection, commencement, and complete owner turn-over was completed within just 5 months.
McPhee also completed the 8 Story 314,000 square foot Core & Shell for the Ambulatory Care Center housing two 2500 amp services with one 1.5MW Generator feeding a 2500 amp emergency switchboard along with three 1600 amp Automatic Transfer Switches. The Core & Shell was inclusive of a complete telephone and data backbone riser through 15 IDF Closets via (1) MDF. Additonally, McPhee completed planning and installation for a Security System, Fire Alarm System, all Site Lighting and Site Blue Phones.
McPhee showcased expertise in pricing based on conceptual details and working together with the design team and Construction Manager Fusco/Clark to finalize construction douments while maintaining budgets and meeting owner expectations.
