McPhee Electric, Ltd. has achieved the Corporate Health Champion Designation from the American Diabetes Association. This designation recognizes companies and organizations that inspire and encourage organizational well-being and is part of the Association’s Wellness Lives HereSM initiative.
“McPhee is honored that our commitment to making the health and wellness of our employees a priority has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Our goal is to encourage the adoption of healthy habits which will benefit our team members, their families, and our company’s productivity and morale overall,” said Marcus McPhee, President.
McPhee joins the exclusive inaugural class of just 103 Health Champions across the nation. To qualify for the Health Champion Designation, a company must meet healthy living criteria in three areas: Nutrition and Weight Management, Physical Activity, and Organizational Well-Being. McPhee completed the application with the help of Blue Back, LLC, their wellness advisor and benefits broker. The award was presented on Friday, December 11th by Christopher Boynton, the Executive Director, New England from the American Diabetes Association.
Wellness Committee leader Christine Conroy says, “It’s exciting to be recognized for our hard work in promoting employee well-being. This award really highlights our employees’ embracing a positive culture of health at the workplace.”
