McPhee is honored to be the recipient of a Build CT Award for Specialty Contracting - Electrical from the Associated General Contractors of Connecticut.
McPhee was presented with the award at the 69th AGC/CT Annual Meeting held at the Aquaturf in Plainville on February 11th. McPhee received the award for our recent CT Fastrak Intelligent Transportation & Communication System project. McPhee provided all security & telecommunications infrastructure for the new 9.4 mile busway linking New Britain to Hartford. McPhee was responsible for the design, coordination, documentation, supply, delivery, installation and integration necessary to deliver a fully functional 14-mile 10 gigabyte redundant network along the busway. Along with our specialty electrical award, our major subcontractors Trapeze Group & Siemens Industry, along with the owner Connecticut Department of Transportation, also received Merit Awards from the Associated General Contractors of Connecticut. McPhee would also like to recognize other subcontractors Kerr Electric and Daktronics for their work on this project.
Project Manager, Brian Parent, received the award and said a few words on behalf of the company. "I would like to recognize and thank our principles Mike & Marcus McPhee, Project Managers, RCDD Engineer Chris Lappen, Vice President of Estimating, Julie Blum, engineering staff - especially Jake McPhee, and all contributions from our utility & cellular divisions for supporting this project. Last, but certainly farthest from least I would like to recognize our extremely talented field personnel that worked on the project."
